Triptych Abstract Art Built from Strength
Still Strong is a three-panel mosaic artwork created from the multicolored remnants of earlier pieces. It’s a visual reminder that strength often comes from what we carry forward. Each shard and hue reflects continuity, healing, and the quiet beauty of rebuilding..
Why It Belongs in Your Home: Still Strong adds meaning to your space without overwhelming it. The palette brings warmth and texture, and the triptych layout creates a natural focal point for hallways, reading nooks, or reflective areas. It pairs well with soft neutrals, warm woods, and layered textiles.
What Makes It Special: This piece is built from fragments of previous artworks, giving it a story of renewal. Soft transitions meet bold contrasts for a balanced, grounded composition. The hand-crafted triptych design adds dimension and presence, and it’s a one of a kind work from the Held Together series.
Materials & Technique
I build each piece on handmade wooden cradled panels wrapped in canvas. The mosaic surface is made from cast fragments that cure to a smooth, stone-like finish, and I tint and place each one by hand to create subtle shifts in color and texture. The wooden trim is painted for warmth, and the surface is finished with a combination of matte and gloss varnish for protection and tactile contrast. The custom floating frame is finished with a soft, non-reflective matte spray.
