Help & FAQs: Answers About Everlasting Echoes & Art Specifics

Gotta Have the FAQ's

I want ordering to feel simple and supportive. Below you’ll find answers to common questions about both memorial commissions and personal art purchases.

Memorial Art Commissions

Will my urn look exactly like the photo?
Yes. Each urn is photographed individually and listed as its own finished piece — the one you see is the one you’ll receive. Just a heads up: colors can look a little different depending on your screen.

What are the urns made of?
Each vessel is handcrafted from a durable cement material and sealed for protection.
Every urn comes with a handmade wooden lid and a matching wooden stand.

How are the urns sealed?
Each urn is finished with a protective sealer that helps guard against moisture and everyday handling.

Can the urn hold multiple sets of ashes?
It depends on the size of the urn and how much ash you have.
If you’re combining ashes or unsure what you need, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help you figure it out.

Are ashes incorporated into the urn?
Not by default. These urns are designed to hold ashes. If you’d like ashes incorporated into the material itself, that would be a custom request.

Do you offer engraved name plates?
Yes. You’ll have the option to add an engraved name plate to your order. Details will be on each product page.

How long will my urn take to ship?
Since each urn is finished before it’s listed, it’s ready to go. Most orders ship within 3–5 business days.

How do I take care of my urn?
Your urn is designed for indoor display and gentle handling. To keep it looking its best:
•    Display indoors, away from direct sunlight or moisture
•    Wipe the cement base with a soft, dry cloth
•    Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads
•    Keep wooden lids and stands dry; dust gently with a soft cloth
•    Don’t place candles, incense, or anything warm on or inside the urn
•    For storage or moving, wrap in craft/butcher paper first, then polyfoam

What size urn do I need?
Each urn listing includes its internal volume so you can choose the right size.
A general guideline used by funeral professionals is that one pound of body weight equals about one cubic inch of ash. If you’re unsure or combining ashes, just reach out — I’m here to help you choose what makes sense.

What if I need it sooner?
If you’re on a tight timeline, send me a message before ordering.
If the piece is already finished (and most are), I can often ship it sooner.

Personal Art

What kinds of art do you make?
I create abstract and contemporary mixed media pieces — mosaics, textured panels, layered compositions, and more.

Are these one of a kind?
Yes. Every piece is handmade, so natural variations in texture and color are part of the work.

How long does shipping take?
Personal art usually ships within 3–5 business days unless otherwise noted.

How do I take care of my artwork?
Care varies a bit depending on the materials, but here are the basics:
•    Display indoors, away from direct sunlight or moisture
•    Dust gently with a soft cloth
•    Avoid harsh cleaners or chemicals
•    For textured or layered pieces, avoid pressing or rubbing the surface
•    When storing or moving, wrap in craft/butcher paper first, then polyfoam

General Questions

Do you ship internationally?
Not yet — I currently ship within the U.S. only.

Do you accept returns?
Because each piece is handmade, returns are limited. Please see my Returns & Refunds page for details.

Can I request a custom piece?
You’re welcome to reach out through the Contact Me page.  I take on custom work selectively, depending on alignment and availability.
