Soundwave Study II
2026
19.5 x 32 in
Acrylic, resined wood, metal, handmade cradled panel wrapped in canvas, custom floating frame

Soundwave Study II is the second piece in a two-part exploration of soundwave form, created as a visual study of voice as presence, memory, and emotional resonance. Built on a handmade wooden cradled panel wrapped in canvas, the work layers acrylic paint, resined wood elements, and metal to form a vibrant, tactile waveform. Unlike the monochrome restraint of Study I, this piece moves through a full spectrum of color, echoing the complexity and fullness of the voices we carry within us.

The interplay of matte and gloss finishes adds dimensionality. Matte areas ground the composition, while gloss surfaces catch the light and create a shifting sense of movement across the piece. The custom floating frame completes the work with a clean, contemporary edge.

This piece continues your exploration of how sound can be translated into form, using color, texture, and layered materials to create a visual rhythm that feels both structured and expressive.
