This keepsake was created with deep care and intention, using six fragments from Jackie’s broken baking dish — an object that held so much meaning for her mother, Charla. One of the shards, almost poetically, was already shaped like the letter “J,” a quiet reminder of Jackie’s name. I preserved that piece as the centerpiece, polishing and solidifying it in resin. The remaining five fragments were carefully broken into smaller pieces, then arranged around the “J” within a resin stand, creating a mosaic of memory and resilience.

The result is both delicate and enduring — once a baking dish, is now a piece that honors Jackie’s presence while offering Charla something tangible to hold onto. Every angle of the keepsake reflects light differently, echoing the way memory shifts and glimmers over time.
