Jackie's Dish

This keepsake was created with deep care and intention, using six fragments from Jackie’s broken baking dish, an object that held profound meaning for her mother, Charla. One shard, almost poetically, was already shaped like the letter J, a quiet reminder of Jackie’s name. I preserved that piece as the centerpiece, polishing and setting it in resin. The remaining five fragments were gently broken into smaller pieces, then arranged around the J within a resin stand, forming a mosaic of memory and resilience.

The result is delicate and enduring. What was once a baking dish is now a piece that honors Jackie’s presence while giving Charla something tangible to hold. Every angle of the keepsake reflects light differently, echoing the way memory shifts and glimmers over time.
