Weathered Color
Wood, acrylic paint, spray paint

Weathered Color is a mixed media abstract artwork created on a reclaimed piece of wood. The natural grain and imperfections become part of the composition. Layers of acrylic paint and spray paint move across the surface in muted blues, greens, greys, and whites, settling into the texture in soft, unpredictable ways. The history of the wood shows through the color, giving the piece a quiet, weathered presence.

The wooden frame adds contrast and structure, lifting the worn surface into a simple, contemporary artwork. The mix of brushwork and spray paint creates a balance between intention and spontaneity, letting the material guide the final look.

This piece reflects how reclaimed materials can carry emotion and memory. The old wood brings its own story, and the paint becomes a new layer on top of it, creating something grounded and gently luminous.
