Mixed-Media Abstract Art

Acrylic paint, metal, frozen juice lids

Repurposed Rhythm is a mixed media wall piece built from metal, acrylic paint, and repurposed frozen juice lids. Each circular form becomes its own small canvas, painted in bold acrylics and arranged in a clean grid that highlights its individual personality. Metallic sheens, layered brushwork, and bright colors create a lively rhythm across the composition.

Mounted on horizontal metal bars, the circles gain structure and presence, turning familiar everyday objects into a cohesive contemporary display. The contrast between the industrial metal framework and the hand painted lids adds balance, grounding the piece while letting the colors stand out.

This artwork reflects an early chapter in my practice, when experimenting with found materials and unconventional surfaces opened the door to a more expansive mixed media language. It’s a celebration of curiosity, resourcefulness, and the joy of turning everyday objects into something unexpectedly beautiful.
