Wood, metal
This piece brings together etched metal and wood in a vertical triptych that explores structure, rhythm, and the quiet tension between precision and texture. Three metal tiles sit in alignment, each engraved with geometric forms and circular cutouts that create a sense of movement across the surface. The patterns feel both architectural and organic, echoing the way order and spontaneity coexist in the making process.
Mounted on dark wooden planks, the metal elements become even more striking — the contrast between materials highlighting the depth, shadows, and dimensionality of the work. The repetition of form invites the viewer to slow down and notice the subtle differences between each tile, the way light shifts across the etched surfaces, and the balance created by their placement.
This piece is part of my ongoing exploration of mixed‑media construction, where metal and wood meet to create contemporary compositions rooted in texture, structure, and quiet visual rhythm.
