This piece is built from wooden blocks of varying heights, each one painted by me, Ally, and Kylie. The blocks come together in a structured grid, but the colors and patterns inside each square carry the individuality of the hands that created them. Some blocks are bold, some soft, some layered — each one a tiny snapshot of a person, a mood, a moment.

The depth created by the different block heights adds a sculptural quality, allowing light to move across the surface and reveal new relationships between colors as you shift your perspective. The black frame grounds the composition, giving the vibrant blocks a clean, contemporary structure to live within.

This artwork is one of my favorites because it isn’t just something we made — it’s something we made together. A shared creative moment preserved in wood and paint, holding the presence of all three of us in a way that feels both joyful and quietly profound.
